Generating presentations with Adobe Express and Acrobat Studio
Generate a draft slide deck from existing resources with Adobe's AI tools, and apply your brand kit
How to use Adobe Acrobat Studio and Adobe Express to turn existing teaching content into an engaging and accessible presentation
Adobe's generative presentation tools turn existing material, such as web pages and documents, into a structured slide outline and a draft deck in minutes. The demonstration builds a short presentation for educators on self-recording, sourced from STEM College technology toolkit pages, in both Adobe Express and Adobe Acrobat Studio. In this activity, you will use your own content to generate a presentation, then review and refine the AI-generated output to make it clear, engaging and accessible for your students.
00:23Open the presentation generator in Adobe Express. Navigate to Adobe Express and log in using your RMIT credentials. From the home screen, select 'Generate presentation'.00:52Add your content. In the generation dialogue, choose the teaching content you would like to turn into a presentation by uploading your own documents or adding relevant URLs.01:00Enter your presentation prompt (examples below) and customise parameters. In the prompt box, enter your topic description, then select 'Customize' to configure the following settings:- Length: Select 'Short'.
- Audience: Deselect 'General public', select 'Custom audience', and enter 'Educators'.
- Level of Detail: Select 'Medium'.
01:58Select a presentation template. Click 'Next' to open the 'Explore templates' screen. Browse the available styles, select your preferred layout, and click 'Next'.02:17Review and edit the presentation outline. On the 'Review your outline' screen, inspect each slide title and bullet point. Click directly into text fields to modify bullet points, correct spelling to Australian English, or remove unwanted slides using the trash icon.02:43Generate the slide deck. Click 'Generate' and keep the browser tab open while Adobe Express builds the presentation deck.03:09Generate a presentation from Adobe Acrobat Studio. Alternatively, open Adobe Acrobat Home. Click 'Generate a presentation' from the top prompt bar or select 'Create' > 'Generate a presentation'. Click 'Add files' > 'Web link', paste your source URLs, click 'Use for presentation', input your prompt and audience settings under 'Customize', and click 'Generate'.04:18Apply institutional branding. In the Adobe Express editor, select 'Brands' from the left-hand menu. Choose your institutional brand kit (e.g. '[RMIT University] STEM College') and click 'Apply brand to all pages' or apply styling to individual slides.05:08Adjust slide layout, text colours, and contrast. Inspect generated slides for contrast issues. Select background shapes or slide backgrounds to update colours via 'Swatches'. Select text frames to update font sizes, modify 'Text color', or reposition text boxes using click-and-drag and the 'Position' tool.06:03Replace slide imagery. Select an unwanted image on a slide. Click 'Media' on the left sidebar, search for relevant stock photography under 'Photos', and drag the chosen image directly over the existing photo to replace it. Double-click the image to reposition within the frame and click 'Done'.07:00Preview the presentation. Select 'Present' in the top-right toolbar to view the deck in presentation mode. Check layout, contrast and that text isn't too small.
